Best American Cars of the Sixties

The Sixties saw a revolution in car design and performance. Of course, if you live long enough, I think we will see 1 / 4 mile 12 second electric cars that can exceed the boom of the sixties cool car. There are many innovative things that were tested in the 60's. 'S 1960 car was the innovation, beauty and speed.
In the 1960's led to the emergence of a compact car. Plymouth Valiant, Dodge Dart, Ford Falcon, Chevrolet Corvair (rear engine), BuickSkylark, Pontiac Tempest, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Chevy Nova, and American Motors Rambler, some manufacturers test cars in a more efficient, easy to maintain, cheaper car. I had a 1961 Pontiac Tempest with three on the floor and what was actually a V8 in half. It was a good guy and a little candy apple red. Corvair aunt took the cake with a sports car feel, and rear engine. Darts and other Mopars ran forever and were so easy to maintain.
One innovation was the 60The introduction of each automaker to create a series of small and medium cars, large to meet the needs of America. Fins, bullet headlights, Transmissions Press, radio with eight players better track or cassette, are expected by consumers during the year. Some even had players. Air conditioners took effect. V8 big block and small grew and grew.
1964, 389 GTO started the war two of the three muscle cars. Another of my favoriteswere the 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix from 421 before the year 1967, Belvedere and Coronet of Hemis, 1962-1964 Chevy Impala was nice. 1962 Ford Galaxie 292 with police interceptor was cool as it was in 1966 Galaxie. You can not ignore all 1960, 1966 Corvette Stingray is my favorite. ½ Mustang, of course, the revolution of 1964 led to the pony car.
1967 was a kind of year. 1967 Mustang GT with 390 was a little slow, but smooth. 1967Camaro, GM's entry, was quick and very fresh. 1968 led to the Dodge Dart Scat Pack GT, Challenger, and of course the Super Bee and Coronet R / T. The 1968 Charger R / T Hemi or 440 was one of my favorites of all time. Sting Ray looked great. What is the sound it makes 440. Judge GTO, Buick Grand Sport, and Oldsmobile Hurst 4-4-2 was very cool.
I remember my best friend bought a Super Bee, with 383 and 440 are Coronet R / T. Then, above me, has 1,969Mustang Mach One (only 335 horsepower rating). I found a rare 1969 Mustang Police Interceptor. I had a Super Cobra Jet 428 with about 410 horsepower. and the transmission cooler, gears, cams, air springs and all of the factory. What a car! All black and unmarked, bell ball or anything.
Of course, in 1970 had its share of muscle cars, but in 1960, in my opinion, had the best car of all time.
